Viktor Troicki says it is "too early" to speak about Novak Djokovic's potential participation in next year's Davis Cup qualifiers, but the Serbian team captain acknowledges that having the record 24-time Grand Slam champion would be a major boost to his team.

Throughout his career, Djokovic has been very high on representing Serbia and he owns a record of 46 wins for his country in the Davis Cup. But in February, the 38-year-old was unable to play for Serbia in their qualifiers tie against Denmark after sustaining a hamstring injury at the Australian Open.

Since Serbia lost to Denmark, they had to play Turkiye in mid-September for a spot in the 2026 qualifiers. And while Djokovic was not present again because the tie came just days after he concluded his US Open run, the Serbs still routinely got the job done and beat the Turkish side 3-1.
