Blair Davenport is officially back in action, and she didnt waste any time making a statement.
On May 9, 2025, at NJPW Resurgence, Davenport returned to the ring against Viva Van, marking her first match since being released by WWE earlier this year.
After months of speculation about her next move, Davenport stunned the NJPW crowd as she made her way to the ring, declaring that her 90-day non-compete clause was over. Viva Van kept Davenport at bay early on, but the momentum shifted when Davenport unleashed a brutal stomp from the top rope. With Van grounded, Davenport delivered her signature Plan Bea for the decisive pinfall victory.
Davenports return comes after she previously hinted at wanting to take some time for herself post-WWE. Speaking to Cultaholic, she said, I kind of just want to be able to take things that I want to do and do it because Im looking forward to it or enjoying it rather than doing it because someone else is telling me to.
Davenport also addressed her connection to Toni Storm, who she remains close with in Orlando. The two have discussed a potential match against each other, with Davenport noting, I know Toni really wants to wrestle me so were hoping its going to happen someday.
Now that shes free to choose her own matches, Davenport appears ready to take on anyone and everyone. But with her first win under her belt, whats next for the former WWE star?
