WWE is shaking things up for its upcoming Backlash premium live event in St. Louis, Missouri.

During the May 9 edition of WWE SmackDown, it was announced that Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will join forces to call the action at the Enterprise Center on Saturday night.

Cole, the lead voice of Monday Night Raw, and Barrett, the color commentator for SmackDown, will handle the play-by-play duties for the May 10 PLE. WWE did not provide a reason for the unique pairing, but fans can expect plenty of insight and banter from the two experienced commentators.

With Backlash set to feature some major matches, including John Cena defending the Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton, the dynamic between Cole and Barrett could add a fresh perspective to the events broadcast.
