"It was great to see him back out there with his teammates and able to get a little work in today."Though Lanning did not elaborate on what Moore did during the closed practice or whether he would be available for the Ducks' game against No. 21 UCLA on Saturday, he said they would continue to do what is best for the QB's long-term health.Lanning added the Big Ten mandatory injury report first released Wednesday, and the lead-up to Saturday's game after that, would shed more light on whether Moore will play."It's one of those situations where we got to protect a player from himself," Lanning said previously on "The Pat McAfee Show."During the USC game Sept. 26, Moore attempted to slide after scrambling up the field before he was hit late by linebacker Desman Stephens II. Moore was looked at by athletic training staff on the field for an extended period of time before being taken by an ambulance to Los Angeles General Medical Center for evaluation."Fortunately, his MRI and CT scans came back clean and he did not suffer any additional injuries," Lanning said in a statement last week.Former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola replaced Moore and led the Ducks past the Trojans, throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns. If Moore can't go against the Bruins, Raiola would get his first official start under center for the No. 13 Ducks."Dylan's got to keep doing what he's been doing," Lanning said Monday. "Preparing like he's going to be the guy that goes out there every single day. We need that from every single person on our team. We don't need anything special from Dylan other than doing what he's been doing."Moore, who was widely projected to be a top pick in the 2026 NFL draft before opting to return to Oregon for his senior year, entered the year as a preseason Heisman Trophy contender. In four games, he has 926 passing yards and nine touchdowns.
