A scary scene stopped the tag team match pitting Steven Borden and Darby Allin against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher at AEW All Out 2026 when Borden and Knight attempted a spot from opposing turnbuckles. They were seemingly meant to meet in the air, and Borden crashed down to the mat and had to be taken from the ring on a stretcher.Jeff Jarrett, longtime colleague of Borden's father, Sting, commented on the injury on "My World." He said he's known Borden the younger star's entire life, even working angles in TNA around Borden's high school football games. He said the star is super athletic, but sometimes, things just happen in the ring."He's a college athlete, born and raised and watched this business," Jarrett said. "Never thought he'd get in it, but he obviously, by osmosis, watched his father his entire life, and so, he's a good athlete. But at the end of the day, man oh man, he took a hell of a high risk move... Bryce [Howard], Doc Sampson, the whole community, the truck, the way it was shot. I don't want to go into dark things, but how the industry has progressed on how we deal with sudden in-ring injuries... I was backstage when they wheeled him by on the [stretcher.] It's an eerie feeling. That kind of feeling, when you have someone strapped down, on a gurney... You're never fully prepared for that."Jarrett said Borden is like "Elvis' kid," who has "gigantic shoes to fill." He mentioned that the pay-per-view match came only 17 days after Borden's "AEW Dynamite" debut, and the young star just needs to keep putting in the reps.If you use any quotes from this article, please credit "My World w/ Jeff Jarrett" and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
