EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsATLANTA -- Justin Rose made easy work of the par-3 ninth hole at East Lake Golf Club, dunking his tee shot for an ace from 208 yards during Sunday's final round at the Tour Championship.The hole has been the second-most difficult this week at East Lake.After watching his soaring tee shot slam its way into the hole, Rose threw both his arms in the air and mimicked a slam dunk in basketball. He high-fived playing partner Si Woo Kim and Kim's caddie, Manny Villegas.Rose, 46, made up for two early bogeys with the fourth hole-in-one of his career to get back to even par in the round. He was tied for 13th at 8 under, six shots behind co-leaders Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland.With an intimidating uphill tee shot over a lake, the ninth had produced a scoring average of .077 above par this week, trailing only the opening hole. There were only three birdies before Rose's ace, along with 88 pars, 11 bogeys and one double-bogey.It was the first time a PGA Tour golfer made an ace on the ninth since Xander Schauffele had one in the third round in 2019.
