He faces a felony charge of second-degree assault by strangulation and three misdemeanors, including violating a protection order.The felony charge stems from the first arrest on June 4 after the results of a forensic examination of Cooper's girlfriend by a nurse concluded she suffered injury.Cooper won't count toward the Broncos' 53-man roster limit due to being placed on the exempt list and he will still be paid. However, he is not allowed to practice or attend games while on the list.Cooper is scheduled to appear in Douglas County (Colorado) court on Monday for an arraignment. He was excused from the Broncos' minicamp after his second arrest in June, with the team saying in a statement at the time that they were "disappointed."ESPN's Jeff Legwold contributed to this report.
