WrestleMania 43 will be taking place in Saudi Arabiain 2027, which is why people have been wondering if AEW will take advantage of that fact somehow. As it turns out, Tony Khan does plan on doing something special around that time.
During the AEW All Out media call, Tony Khan said he is interested in running a huge AEW show in the spring of 2027, timed around when WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia. He added that AEW is already planning a major AEW Revolution event, making it clear he has big goals in mind for that period.
Tony Khan is planning to take advantage of the factthat lots of people arent happy about WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia, since they accuse WWE of selling out and ruining a tradition and harming other companies during WrestleMania weekend.
Since WrestleMania 43 wont be in the U.S. in 2027, a lot of indie promotions wont be able to hold events around WrestleMania weekend, which gives AEW a really good chance to put on an incredible show.
By using WWEs Saudi Arabia move as a chance to stand out, AEW could create a new tradition of its own and make 2027 one of the most important years in the companys history. So well have to see if AEW will actually manage to do that in the end.
