During the AEW All Out media call, Khan addressed the situation directly when asked for a Wardlow update. He confirmed that some reports were true, but took a shot at the people spreading false ones.

Khan said some of the things that were reported were accurate, but others were not. He added that the person spreading the false stories should get out of the wrestling business.

One major point of misinformation? That Wardlow was ever scheduled to challenge for the AEW World Title at All Out. According to Khan, that was never the planKyle Fletcher was always set to be the challenger.

Despite the injury, Khan made it clear he still believes in Wardlow and was heartbroken by the timing of the setback. Khan said he was devastated by Wardlows injury and feels terrible for him.

Wardlow tore his pec during a lariat spot with Stokely Hathawaynot even during a full match. The injury happened shortly after he wrapped filming for American Gladiators, which will stream on Amazon Prime.

According to Khan, AEW is now planning for Wardlows comeback to align with the launch of that series. No firm date yet, but if recovery goes as expected, fans may not see him back until spring or summer 2026.
