
Novak Djokovic turned 38 in May. While his coevals have mostly retired, the everlasting Serb is enjoying another strong season that proves his class and longevity.
Novak is the third-best player of the season after the US Open, sharing the third spot with Alexander Zverev. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner and miles in front, competing at some other level.
However, Djokovic remains their closest rival alongside the German following consistent results on the most notable scene in 2025. What connects him with Sinner? They are the only players who have reached all four Major semi-finals this season.

Novak embraced another deep run at Roland Garros and bested world no. 3 Alexander Zverev for a place in the semi-final. He fought well against Jannik Sinner but lost in straight sets. Despite that, he became the oldest semi-finalist in Paris since 1968!
Djokovic mirrored that performance at the All England Club and stopped the clock at Wimbledon. He defeated five rivals for a spot in the last four, although with an issues!

The veteran took a break and skipped Toronto and Cincinnati. He returned to action at the US Open and completed the quartet of semi-finals. Djokovic beat five rivals and arranged the clash against Carlos Alcaraz.
Still, the veteran suffered his fourth semi-final loss at Majors in 2025, playing well in the opening two sets in a 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 defeat.
