Boris Becker thinks Jannik Sinner's game has "stagnated," and also adds believes that the "predictable" Italian has been completely figured out by Carlos Alcaraz.
In seven tournaments played this year, Sinner picked up five losses - four of those losses came against Carlos Alcaraz in final matches. The most recent came this past Sunday when the Spaniard ousted the Italian 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 to lift his second US Open title and overall his sixth Grand Slam.
In 2025, Alcaraz has four wins and one loss against Sinner, and also owns a 10-5 record in their overall head-to-head. After their most recent match, the 24-year-old Italian himself confessed that he played "predictably."

Becker: Sinner has stagnated and he is predictable
"I'm someone who always feels the need to tell the truth. So I was a little disappointed. I expected more. But of course, I wasn't disappointed with Alcaraz because he really has learned a lot. He plays better tennis today than he did a year ago. He has more variety, he changes pace. He plays serve and volley, he plays backhand slice, he plays a forehand where you can't see the ball. And I think Sinner has stagnated with his game for the first time," the German tennis legend said on the Becker-Petkovic podcast.
As mentioned above, the Italian four-time Grand Slam champion admitted that his game became predictable for Alcaraz. And Becker fully agrees with that one.
"He (Jannik) is predictable now, you know exactly what's going to happen to him. And it's not so bad that I see it that way. It's worse for him that Alcaraz sees it that way," Becker added.

When addressing his plans for the upcoming period, Sinner indicated that he would try to implement some changes to his name and also suggested that his focus would now switch to the bigger picture rather than instant results.
