Lacey Lane formerly known as Kayden Carter in WWE didnt land directly in AEW after her exit, but shes definitely circling the ring.
Lane made an appearance at the Ring of Honor TV tapings ahead of AEW Dynamite at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. While AEW was her top choice coming out of WWE, it looks like ROH under Tony Khans ownership was her first official stop. The match is expected to air on an upcoming episode of ROH TV.
Lane wrestled in WWE from 2018 to 2025, where she was best known for teaming with Katana Chance (Kacy Catanzaro). Together, they captured both the NXT Womens Tag Team Titles and the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles, battling through a run that Lane described as constantly fighting uphill.
She recently opened up on Busted Open Radio about whats next for her, making it clear AEW was the goal.
Lane said AEWs womens division is exactly her speed.
She also noted the emotional connection to the AEW/ROH ecosystem thanks to her past mentors in Mexico:
Lane didnt rule out TNA either, giving props to the Knockouts division:
Her last WWE match was the April 11 episode of SmackDown, competing in a Womens Tag Team Title contender gauntlet. Now, with her return to the ring officially underway under the ROH banner, Lacey Lane is back and closer than ever to that AEW spotlight shes been chasing.
Do you think Lacey Lane will break through in ROH and earn a spot on the AEW roster? Or should she take her talents to TNAs Knockouts division instead? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
