WWEs WrestleMania plans for 2027 may have accidentally gone public and now insiders are weighing in while the company stays quiet.
Earlier today, a press release in Arabic leaked the news that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Saudi Arabia. The release was quickly pulled after being sent out prematurely, but the damage was done. PWInsider confirmed the story is legitimate, with an official announcement expected soon.
Now Fightful Select has dropped more details, including internal reactions from WWE higher-ups and new info about the long-term deal in Saudi Arabia. According to Sean Ross Sapp, WWE has not responded officially, but one top executive gave a cryptic quote:
Where theres smoke, theres fire, the source said, while stopping short of outright confirmation. They added that Triple Hs recent comments about inspiring change could be tied to the announcement.
Internally, it looks like the WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia has been a long time coming. Sources said that Saudi officials have been pushing for it since the start of their relationship with WWE, and things have accelerated behind the scenes this year.
Even more interesting, three WWE events are now expected to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2026 the Royal Rumble, plus the traditional May and November shows already held there under WWEs deal.
Theres also buzz inside the company that the new WrestlePalooza branding could help space out global stadium shows like WrestleMania, making it easier to sell city-specific site fees and create even more destination events.
Meanwhile, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabias General Entertainment Authority, has already publicly mentioned WrestleMania 43, adding more weight to the story even if WWE has yet to make it official.
Ringside News will continue tracking this story as WWE gears up for what could be its biggest global leap yet.
Do you think WWE is playing it smart by staying quiet, or should they confirm WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia now that its out? And what are your thoughts on Saudi Arabia hosting both Royal Rumble and WrestleMania in back-to-back years? Drop your take in the comments.
