It looks like WWE and Netflix may already be quietly working on new content for WWE Unreal even if a second season hasnt been officially confirmed.
According to Fightful Select, WWE Unreal director Chris Weaver was spotted in Gorilla Position during Seth Rollins shocking Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam and was actively filming the moment. People within WWE believe the entire angle could end up being part of the next batch of episodes, whenever they eventually drop. While Weaver didnt confirm a renewal, he reportedly said he wants another season to happen.
Some WWE talent also claimed they hadnt even been informed they were being filmed for the show that night, though its written into their contracts and signs are always posted at events warning that filming is taking place. Still, theres some concern backstage that Gorilla Position one of the few sacred spaces in WWE is no longer a completely private area for talent during high-emotion moments.
Additionally, featured talent said they werent paid anything extra for appearing on WWE Unreal, at least to their knowledge. While most didnt seem bothered by it, they did point it out as something worth noting.
If this footage makes it into a potential second season, fans could be getting an even deeper, behind-the-scenes look at one of the most talked-about moments of the year.
