Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins admitted that Lynch had to keep the fake injury storyline going for nearly three weeks, something that didnt sit well with her.
While Lynch struggled with the deception, their young daughter Roux found it hilarious. Rollins told her the injury was just pretend and asked her to keep it quiet but she wasted no time spilling the beans to her preschool teacher.
The ruse even included Lynch posting a video of Rollins walking with crutches to sell the storyline, fooling fans across social media. In the end, the payoff came when Rollins faked being injured at SummerSlam, only to cash in and snatch the WWE World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk in front of a shocked MetLife Stadium crowd.
