Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt are currently TNAs commentary team and theyve been exceptional in their roles. Thats why its no surprise they have signed contract extensions with TNA Wrestling.
According to Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated, the announcers for TNA Wrestling will be staying with the company for the foreseeable future. TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed in an upcoming interview with The Takedown on SI that both Hannifan and Rehwoldt recently signed contract extensions.
It was noted that the exact length of the new deals wasnt shared. Carlos Silva also said that McKenzie Mitchell will continue as TNAs ring announcer.
Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt have been calling TNA matches since 2022, making them one of the companys longest-running commentary teams. Hannifan joined in January 2022, replacing Matt Striker, while Rehwoldt stepped away from wrestling to take over the color commentary role from DLo Brown.
With Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt staying on, TNA Wrestling is keeping a commentary team that has played a big role in its success. Therefore, well have to wait and see how Hannifan and Rehwoldt will continue to perform in their role in the coming years.
