Speaking back in March, head coach Kyle Shanahan made no effort to hide his feelings on the Melbourne game.I dont see any pro [for San Francisco], Shanahan said at the NFLs annual meetings. Its cool for the league to play globally. I think thats awesome. But as far as the team doing it, no, theres not much benefit to it. Sometimes its nice to get a bye week after but doesnt happen in Week 1.He sarcastically added: I was so fired up. That was our goal to go 19 hours away to play a game. Well deal with it. And I think theres [nine] international games. Weve got two of them, so were fired up about that.
