We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information," the Patriots said in a statement.Court documents indicate the alleged incident occurred Tuesday.According to Boston College police, Hutchins is alleged to have grabbed a woman by the neck forcefully and also pushed her with force at one of the school's residence halls.Boston College police said they questioned the alleged victim, who told them nothing happened.According to the police report, a residence hall assistant told BC authorities that she heard a man and woman arguing in the hallway, and when she entered the hallway, she saw Hutchins push and later put his hand around the neck of the alleged victim.The residence-hall assistant told police that Hutchins referred to the alleged victim as a "cheater." Hutchins told police that he was holding the phone of the alleged victim, which he later threw once he received his ring back.The Patriots made Hutchins their final selection of the 2026 NFL draft, tabbing him 247th overall. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Hutchins spent 2021-2025 at Boston College, appearing in 43 games (16 starts) and totaling nine sacks.
