Shane McMahon sparked plenty of speculation after his private meeting with Tony Khan near Arlington Airportbut now theres finally clarity on why nothing ever came from it. After Shane previously addressed the situation and made it clear AEW isnt WWE, the focus has now shifted to Khans side of the storyand what actually happened during that meeting. Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Khan broke down the interaction and made it clear the conversation itself went wellbut it never went beyond that. Khan first explained how the meeting even came together, revealing that it was Shane who reached out and initiated the conversation. He then gave more detail about the meeting itself, describing it as a long, positive discussionbut also stating that it was a one-time interaction: We had a good conversation. We talked for a few hours in the airport. But I only had one really nice talk with him. From there, Khan explained the key reason things didnt move forwardhe didnt get the sense that Shane was actually interested in stepping into a wrestling role within AEW. Khan closed by making it clear that Shane didnt approach the meeting with any intention of becoming part of AEWs on-screen product. That changes the narrative.
