
EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsThe Atlanta Falcons and tight end Austin Hooper have agreed to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, according to NFL Network.Hooper enters his 11th NFL season in 2026 and is coming off a campaign in which he played in 16 regular season games (6 starts) and totaled 21 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns for the New England Patriots. The 31-year-old also played in all four of the team's playoff games, totaling three catches for 24 yards.In all, he was on the field for 46% of the offensive snaps as a complement to No. 1 tight end Hunter Henry.The 6-foot-4, 254-pound Hooper had signed a one-year, $5 million deal with the Patriots last offseason as a free agent, which included a $2 million signing bonus. He also played the 2024 season in New England, totaling 45 catches for 476 yards and three touchdowns that year.Hooper has also previously played for the Falcons (2016-2019), Cleveland Browns (2020-2021), Tennessee Titans (2022) and Las Vegas Raiders (2023).He has been selected to two Pro Bowls, in 2018 and '19 when he was with the Falcons and set career bests in receptions and receiving yards with 71 and 660 and 75 and 787, respectively.ESPN's Mike Reiss contributed to this report.
