The Commanders also received a fourth-round pick last April. After the season, Commanders general manager Adam Peters called Tunsil one of the best -- if not the best -- tackles in the NFL and recently expressed optimism an extension would get done "sooner rather than later."Last season, Washington receiver Terry McLaurin held in during training camp while an extension was reached. He missed all of training camp after missing their voluntary organized team activity practices and the mandatory minicamp.Miami drafted Tunsil with the 13th pick in 2016 and traded him to Houston in 2019. He made five Pro Bowls with the Texans.
