The March 6, 2026 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown took place at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The venue itself wasnt particularly remarkable, but it still served as the backdrop for a big night for the blue brand. Tag team turmoil in WWE is a gauntlet match setup, and you never know who will show up. This weeks SmackDown saw a load of teams battle for a shot at The MFTs WWE Tag Team Titles. The teams scheduled for the match included Fraxiom, Los Garza, The Wyatt Sicks, Motor City Machine Guns, and the unlikely pairing of Damian Priest and R-Truth. The bout determined the #1 contenders who would face The MFTs next for their titles. Fraxiom and The Motor City Machine Guns opened up the match. This was a fast-paced way to start the match. In the end, Axiom got the three-count, even though there was some controversy about getting a foot on the ropes. Then Los Garzas entered the match. Los Garzas were able to get the pinfall on Fraxiom. Then The Wyatt Sicks joined the situation, and things got real. They also got their full entrance to the ring with fireflies from fans. The MFTs showed up eventually and caused the Wyatt Sicks to get eliminated. Then R-Truth and Damian Priest were the final two competitors to enter the match. Fans were behind Damian Priest and R-Truth as the overall babyfaces in the match. Los Garzas were able to use some tandem offense, but they werent able to close the match for themselves. R-Truth was able to get the tag and pull off a ton of John Cenas signature moves, but he couldnt land an AA. Then Priest and Truth nailed two South of Heaven chokeslams to get the pinfall and win the match. We will have to see if the MFTs are able to retain their titles.
