WWE Superstars are needed for the road every week. However, sometimes things come up that cant be avoided.
WWE Monday Night RAW took place on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The show served as the go-home RAW ahead of the Royal Rumble, which was set for August 31 in Saudi Arabia. This was a loaded show, but not everyone made the trip.
One of the top matches on the card was a No. 1 contenders contest for the WWE Tag Team Titles. The New Day, Alpha Academy, Los Americanos, and American Made all battled for the next title shot, making it a key matchup for the division with the champions watching closely.
Jimmy Usos absence from WWE Monday Night RAW was briefly addressed during this weeks show. As the action picked up in Toronto, Michael Cole revealed on commentary that Jimmy wasnt in the building due to personal reasons. This left Jey Uso to represent the tag champions on his own.
Its interesting that personal reasons was given as the reason for Jimmy Usos absence. There is a lot of snow that they could have blamed it on, but they went with that excuse without much explanation.
The match landed in the middle of the second hour, and Jey Uso was shown at ringside keeping an eye on the action. Jimmy Uso, however, was nowhere to be seen, and that became part of the story as the broadcast moved along and the crowd noticed Jey was alone.
With Jimmys wife Naomi currently pregnant, that situation may be connected to the absence, though WWE did not give any other details. Either way, Jimmy being gone stood out, especially with the tag titles in play and Jey carrying the champion presence by himself.
We will have to see how long it takes for Jimmy Uso to make a return to WWE television, but he has Tag Team Titles to defend. Only time will tell how long this run lasts for the Usos this time around.
