The issue between Jim Ross and D-Von Dudley centered on racism allegations D-Von said stemmed from their time together in WWE. In the end, he had a couple of incidents to speak on.
D-Von alleged Ross told Bubba Ray Dudley he disliked D-Von because he was Black and later ignored him in catering before allegedly doubling down when confronted. He said Ross appeared intoxicated during at least one encounter but added that he has forgiven Ross personally, despite never receiving an apology.
Ross denied all accusations, saying he has no recollection of the incidents and rejecting any claim of racism. In the end, D-Von said hes open to squashing this beef, and so is Jim Ross.
During his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T brought up how this story was brought up a quarter of a century later. He said that maybe if it was me, Id feel a different way on whether he would say something about it this many years later. He also admitted that, maybe, Jim Ross doesnt remember saying this for reasons.
The point was also made that D-Von said that Jim Ross said something, but it was denied. Then Booker T made an observation about the whole situation.
Booker T said that some things are better left buried, but some things you cant leave buried. The WWE Hall of Famer doubled down to say, perhaps, Jim Ross simply doesnt remember saying this to D-Von Dudley.
Booker T did say that hes had a different road in the pro wrestling business, but it didnt come without him having to stand up for himself. He said that there was a point where he was willing to get fired. That being said, he never seemed to have experienced any racism from Good ole JR.
