During the December 20 clash for the AAA Latin American Championship, Page looked to have stolen the belt from El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in classic All Ego fashion. Late in the bout, he turned Wagners mask around and blasted him in the chest with a wrench, scoring the pin and seemingly winning the title.
The problem? Everyone watching saw what happenedincluding what came next. Instead of staying clueless, referee Tirantes walked over, reached directly into Pages trunks, and pulled the damn wrench out himself while the cameras were still rolling. No replay neededthis happened live during the broadcast for the entire world to see.
Then, Tirantes reversed the decision, restarted the match, and Wagner fired back with a dominant final stretch to pin Page and retain the championship. It was poetic justicebut not for Page.
Furious over the outcome and how it all went down, Page posted a screenshot of the exact moment the ref retrieved the weapon and tweeted:
The irony? Page did use the wrench. The ref did reverse it. But the real chaos came from the fact that Tirantes exposed the weapon himself by digging it out of Pages gear on live television, then restarted the match like it was no big deal.
