Sting may have painted his face for the last time at a fan signing, but the Icon just dropped a major hint that his story with AEW isnt completely finished.
In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, the wrestling legend opened up about what it felt like to do his final fan signing in face paint, reflecting on his decades-long journey. While he remained calm on the surface, the energy around him made it clear this wasnt just another gig.
Sting admitted its bittersweet, noting he wont miss the grind of travel but he will miss the connection with fans for good reason.
The Icon then addressed fans directly with one last heartfelt message and left the door wide open for more AEW appearances.
Sting last appeared during AEWs WrestleDream pay-per-view in October 2025, where he helped out Darby Allin against Jon Moxley. So, while theres no word yet on what those little bits and pieces might be, its clear Sting isnt disappearing completely. Whether its behind the scenes or in a special appearance role, the legends legacy with AEW and the fans isnt finished just yet.
What do you think Stings next chapter in AEW should look like? Would you want to see him in a mentor role, GM spot, or occasional surprise appearances? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
