MJF isnt waiting until Worlds End to get back in the ring.
After a three-month hiatus, Maxwell Jacob Friedman made his return to AEW television during the Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite, interrupting the contract signing between Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page, and Swerve Strickland. What was meant to be a triple threat for the AEW World Championship became a fatal four-way when MJF cashed in his guaranteed title shot from All In: Texas.
But while many assumed Worlds End on December 27 would mark his first match back, AEW isnt wasting any time getting him back into action.
Its now officialMJF will step back into the ring during AEW Dynamite on 34th Street, airing Christmas Eve. His opponent has not yet been confirmed, but it marks his first match since AEW All Out on September 20, where he lost to Mark Briscoe in a brutal Tables N Tacks Match.
During his time away, MJF wrapped filming for Violent Night 2, which is scheduled to hit theaters in December 2026. Now hes shifting back into wrestling modejust in time to try and reclaim AEWs top prize.
MJF returning on Christmas Eve? Thats not just a presentits a warning shot. Whether its Joe, Hangman, or Swerve in his way, the Salt of the Earth is back and clearly not planning to ease into anything.
