
After missing ten months due to physical setbacks, Nick Kyrgios is ready to compete again!
The Aussie will kick off the 2026 season in Brisbane, seeking his second title at the ATP 250 event.
The Canberra native has not competedsince Miami this year. In addition, he has played only six matches since October 2022, experiencing many issues with injuries and undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in January 2023.

Now, Nick is ready to seek victories again, starting the new season in Brisbane like this season. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist played five matches in 2025, scoring his only victory in Miami against Mackenzie McDonald.
He fell to Karen Khachanov in the next round and missed the rest of the season. Thus, he gathered dark clouds over his career, with no one knowing would he ever compete again.
However, Kyrgios will make another push at the beginning of 2026. He wants to test his body in Brisbane before the Australian Open, where he hopes to receive a wild card.
Nick played well in 2022 before taking a break. He played one match in June 2023 and suffered a full rapture of the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist.
He started from the basic training routines, using junior balls to recover his sense. We did not see him on the court in 2024. The crowd favorite hit the court again in Brisbane at the beginning of 2025.

The Aussie fought well before falling to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in three tie breaks. Kyrgios gave everything against Jacob Fearnley in Melbourne, refusing to retire despite physical struggle and falling in three sets.
Nick retired against Botic van de Zandschulp in Indian Wells before securing his first victory since October 2022 in Miami. Kyrgios experienced a bagel against Karen Khachanov and missed the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old seeks a fresh start in 2026, hoping to compete injury-free and extend his career.
