Nick Kyrgios says all the negativity surrounding the Battle of the Sexes is only promoting the event, and has told critics to "sit back" and enjoy what he expects to be a major show and entertainment.
The harshest critics of the Kyrgios and Sabalenka match claim that it could possibly "damage" women's tennis if the top-ranked female player in the world looked uncompetitive or easily lost to the Australian. During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the Belarusian directly addressed that one, saying that the upcoming Battle of the Sexes could only get women's tennis to "a higher level," definitely not damage it.
However, that's not the only issue that critics have about the match scheduled for December 28th in Dubai. Some also questioned Sabalenka's choice to pick Kyrgios as her rival in such a match.

Kyrgios responds to the critics: Sit back and enjoy... No one cares what you have to say
By the way, all the negative comments toward the Battle of the Sexes are doing nothing but giving it more attention. At the end of the day, Aryna will go down as one of the greatest players to play this game. I will have entertained crowds around the world. We are 2 humans that are good friends who want to put on a show and get more eyes on tennis. Not all this other BS - does this not look like tennis is going in the right direction Sit back and enjoy the Show - we both love the challenge and are going into this with no real experience. No one cares what you have to say," the 2022 Wimbledon finalist wrote on Instagram.
