The AEW Continental Classic continued heating up during Winter Is Coming on December 10, 2025, and two major names delivered in a big way.
Kazuchika Okada added another W to his record, defeating Jack Perry in Gold League action. Perry, who stepped in after Darby Allin was forced out due to injury, couldnt withstand the pressure from the Rainmaker himself. Okada leveled him with a trademark Rainmaker lariat to move to 2-1 in the standings with six points.
Okadas win puts him in a strong position, although he still trails Kyle Fletcher due to tiebreaker rules. And speaking of Fletcherhis undefeated streak came to a screeching halt.
In a standout match, Speedball Mike Bailey finally landed his first tournament win, improving to 1-1. Baileys unorthodox style and relentless pace forced Fletcher into a scramble, and it ended with a creative wristlock sunset flip that left Fletcher unable to escape the pin.
The reversal-heavy sequence capped off a match full of hard-hitting strikes and aerial attacks, but it was Bailey who came out on top when it mattered most.
Fletcher remains tied with Okada at six points, but holds the tiebreaker after his earlier win over the Rainmaker.
With more rounds to go and the Gold League standings tightening, the race to the finals just got even more unpredictable.
