The hashtag #WeWantLAKnight started trending on Twitter about an hour and a half before showtime, as fans rallied around The Megastar ahead of his match against GUNTHER in the finals of the Last Time Is Now tournament.
The stakes couldnt be higher: the winner of tonights main event will go on to face John Cena in his final match ever at Saturday Nights Main Event on December 13.
Fans online are once again demanding better treatment for LA Knight, and many believe this is WWEs chance to finally pull the trigger and give him a moment worthy of his connection with the crowd.
This isnt a one-time outburst either. Back in June 2023, the same hashtag trended multiple times, fueled by frustrations over what many saw as WWE failing to capitalize on Knights surging popularity. The chants, the merch sales, the promosKnight has had it all, yet many felt his booking never fully reflected his momentum.
With both Cenas legacy and WWEs future on the line, the pressure is now on.
