Joe Hendrys WWE deal isnt just officialits loaded. While the former TNA star has been making waves in NXT lately, it turns out hes being paid like a main roster talent, not a developmental prospect.
Hendry officially signed with WWE after his TNA contract expired. That much had been expected for months. But the bigger reveal came during a Fightful Select Q&A, when Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Hendrys future in NXT. His answer exposed the real story behind the scenes.
Main roster WWE salaries typically fall in the $300,000 to $400,000 range, not including bonuses, merch, and pay-per-view earnings. That kind of paycheck for someone primarily working NXT shows how serious WWE is about Hendrys upside.
The length of Hendrys contract hasnt been disclosed, but WWEs typical structure gives us a clue. NXT deals usually run one to three years, while main roster contracts stretch to three or five. With Hendry earning above the main roster minimum, its very likely that he signed a three-year contractbut nothing has been confirmed yet.
For now, Hendry remains active on NXT. So while he may be working Tuesdays, Joe Hendrys bank account is living like its Monday Night Raw.
