Sources had already confirmed that Flair suffered the rotator cuff tear after a fall shortly before the event. Even so, he still made the trip to Greensboro and even removed his sling before going in front of the live crowddetermined not to let anyone see him hurting.

While his planned appearance on Dynamite was scrapped at the last minute, AEW President Tony Khan still brought Flair out before the show started. In an emotional off-air moment, Flair addressed the Greensboro crowd, thanking them for standing by him all these years. He called the city Flair Country and said it meant the world to him to return to the place where his career began in 1974.

Flair told the crowd that AEW was building something special, and he was honored to play even a small part in it. He ended his message by calling Greensboro fans the best wrestling audience in the world.

Flair may be down for now, but dont expect him to stay sidelined for long.
