
Aryna Sabalenka reveals she was hoping to become a mother around the age of 25, but her tennis career made her delay her motherhood plans.
Over the past couple of years, Sabalenka spoke several times about her desire not to have one baby, but multiple. Now, in an interview with a Russian blogger, the world No. 1 shared that when she was just starting in tennis, she thought she would accomplish her biggest goals by the age of 25 and then welcome a baby. While the Belarusian tennis star was 24 when she became a Grand Slam champion at the 2023 Australian Open, she still decided against pausing her career.

At 18 I thought by 25 I'd win everything I wanted. At 25, I'd have a baby, come back and keep winning. 25 came, I won some stuff, then I thought maybe 27 or 28? Now I'm 27 and I'm like well A bit later. We'll move it. I realized I wanted to get the most out of my career, see how far I can go," the world No. 1 told Alexander Sokolovsky.
Sabalenka: I'd like to start a family in five years
Sabalenka, who celebrated her 27th birthday in May, hinted in the same interview that she plans to prioritize her career for at least the next few years and then possibly become a mother in five years.
So it's a rough plan with a possible move. I would like to try to start a family in five years and maybe try to come back depending on what stage I will be in my life, but yes, this is a difficult moment. Because if I could, I would have gone now. I love children very much and it seems that children love me and I would really like to but now I have a priority," she added.

For more than a year, Sabalenka has been dating Georgios Frangulis. Currently, the couple is in the Maldives, enjoying some quality time.
