Jannik Sinner has played a lot of tennis in the previous weeks. While winning almost all the matches, the Italian's body has certainly felt all the challenges. The four-time Major champion has struggled a bit at the Paris Masters, despite booking his place in the quarter-final.

Jannik admitted he does not feel 100% ahead of his next duel against fellow top-10 star, Ben Shelton. He will try to recover and make another push while chasing his fourth straight ATP title.

Sinner defeated Zizou Bergs and Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets and in under an hour and a half to preserve energy and remain on the title course.

The Italian bested the Argentine 7-5, 6-1 in the third round in an hour and 25 minutes. He endured physical issues and sealed the deal despite struggling a bit in both sets.

Jannik made the difference behind the first serve and suffered back-to-back breaks in the opener. However, he provided five breaks to control the scoreboard and move over the top without spending more time on the court.

The favorite hit well and outplayed his rival in the quickest exchanges up to four strokes. We saw four consecutive breaks in the middle of the opening set, as the returners outplayed the servers.

Sinner made another push on the return at 6-5 and seized a set point to move in front. He served well in the second set and provided two breaks to bring the win home and move into the last eight.

"I hope to recover physically; that's my priority. It was a great performance today, and a very difficult rival awaits me tomorrow. I have to play at my best, and I hope to achieve that.

I'm trying to manage it in the best way, but it's clear that I'm not 100% physically. Today was a less physical match, which is good. I'm glad I won in under an hour and a half. We will see what will happen tomorrow," Jannik Sinner said.
