Among fans, enthusiasts, and tennis players, there are mixed opinions regarding the players who would be placed on the "small Mount Rushmore" of men's tennis.

While his list was roughly expected, some were surprised that Sampras was on the list, but the American tennis player explained on what basis he ranked the greatest ever.

Grand Slam titles
Looking at Grand Slam titles, Novak Djokovic is undisputed with 24 Grand Slam titles. Rafael Nadal is next with 22, Roger Federer with 20, while Pete Sampras is far behind with 14 Grand Slam titles.
Still, even those 14 Grand Slam titles are a big deal, but when you have such big names like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic in the debate, it is quite understandable why some consider you the fourth greatest.

Whether this list will change in the future, and whether Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz can break the existing records, is difficult to give a real answer.
