Novak Djokovic says he finds passing on his knowledge as "natural," and that's why he gladly gave advice to Jannik Sinner following their 2022 Wimbledon clash.

In 2022, Sinner came out firing against Djokovic in their Wimbledon quarterfinal clash as the Italian went up by two sets early on. But after being over the Serb for two sets, the Italian - who was 20 at the time - collapsed and the record 24-time Grand Slam champion came back to win 5-7 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-2. Had he beaten the Serbian giant, he would have made his maiden Grand Slam semifinal.

As everyone knows, a lot has changed since their last meeting as Sinner is now a four-time Grand Slam champion ahd has had multiple stints at the world No. 1 spot. Also, the current world No. 2 has been dominating Djokovic, winning all of their last five matches on the ATP Tour.

Speaking with the media, Djokovic was told about the Italian crediting his advice for helping him a lot, and asked to address it.

Djokovic: Nobody did it for me, but it's natural for me to advise others

I did it because its natural, something that for me its logical... Of my greatest rivals, nobody has done it for me, only when I was young we had the same coach, Ivan Ljubicic, who was No. 3 and I was top 100, I had the same coach as him, Riccardo Piatti in Italy," the 38-year-old said in Italian.

Two of Djokovic's 2025 Grand Slam runs were ended by Sinner - the Serb lost to the Italian in the French Open and Wimbledon semifinals.
