WWE has made several developmental roster cuts in recent days, and Summer Sorrell is among those no longer with the company. While her run with WWE was short and largely under the radar, shes now sharing her side of the storyand its clear she has unfinished business in the ring.
On October 13, Sorrell took to Instagram with an emotional post about her WWE journey, injuries, and passion for wrestling. She addressed fans directly with a raw message that shed light on why she couldnt show her full potential.
She made it clear her experience in WWE meant everything to her, even the hard parts.
Sorrell then revealed that she was dealing with a recurring injury throughout her time at the WWE Performance Centeran issue that prevented her from reaching her full in-ring potential.
She admitted that her limited exposure in WWE only gave a glimpse of what she could truly offer.
But she ended with a message of resilience and a promise that her journey is far from over.
Sorrell wrestled just seven matches under the WWE banner in 2025. She appeared on NXT live events and WWEs LFG series, scoring a single win against Tatyanna Dumas. Her final appearance came on September 7, 2025, where she lost to Bayley Humphrey on Last Chance to Impress.
WWE opted not to renew her contract, but Sorrells words make it clearshes not done. Shes just getting started.
