Darby Allin isnt holding anything back when it comes to how AEW has cleaned house behind the scenes. The face-painted daredevil has always been loyal to the company, and now hes taking a shot at wrestlers he says were only in it for themselves and caused chaos in the locker room.
During his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Allin got real about how different AEW feels today compared to just a few years ago. The mood backstage, he said, used to be filled with tension but thats no longer the case.
According to Allin, that shift came from cutting toxic energy out of the company. He directly blamed wrestlers who refused to lose or work with others to build the product. His words made it clear: those egos had no place in AEW.
Allin emphasized that pro wrestling is about entertainment, not winning at any cost. And when it comes to negative personalities? Hes glad theyre gone.
Although he didnt name names, fans online have speculated that his comments may be directed at former WWE stars like Miro or Malakai Black, who have been criticized for avoiding losses. Regardless, Allin is making it clear that AEW is focused on unity now not ego trips.
With drama behind them and a unified roster ahead, Darby Allin says AEW is finally living up to its potential. That kind of focus is what he believes will carry the company forward.
