
Jannik Sinner will play for the Beijing Open title. World no. 2 faced Alex de Minaur in the semi-final and earned a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 victory in two hours and 20 minutes. Thus, the Italian will compete in his 30th ATP final and the ninth in a row on hard courts.
Jannik and Alex met for the 11th time, and the Italian provided the 11th victory to remain perfect against a formidable opponent. Sinner took 21 points more than his rival but had to work hard to emerge at the top.
World no. 2 denied 11 of 12 break points and provided three breaks from seven opportunities. The favorite hit 28 winners and 39 unforced errors. He forged a massive advantage in service winners and stood strong from the baseline.

The Italian served well early on and grabbed a break in the sixth game to open a 4-2 gap. Jannik denied two break points in the seventh game and wrapped up the first part of the duel with a hold at 15 at 5-3.
De Minaur saved two break points in the third game of the second set. Sinner survived in the sixth game and created more chances in the next one. The Italian missed more opportunities in game seven before facing the ultimate challenge.
World no. 2 saved three break points in the eighth game before Alex made another push at 5-4 and grabbed a break to close the set and force a decider. Sinner made a fresh start and clinched a break at love in the first game.

The favorite saved three break points in the second game and gained a boost. Jannik secured another break in the third gameand moved 3-0 in front. World no. 2 served well by the end of the duel and sailed over the top with a hold at 5-2.
Jannik will seek the title against Learnen Tien or Daniil Medvedev.
