Ric Flair knows a thing or two about staying in the ring too longand now hes offering advice to John Cena that only a 16-time world champion can give.
In his latest interview with Escapist Magazine, Flair made it clear that he thinks Cena should hang up his boots for good after his final WWE match in December. Cenas wrestling career has spanned over two decades, but Flair believes the time has come for him to fully embrace Hollywood and never look back.
Flair warned that pro wrestling is very addictive, especially for someone who lived and breathed it for over 20 years like Cena has. While many wrestlers find it hard to quit, Flair believes Cenas life outside the ring is already too good to risk it all again.
The Nature Boy had nothing but love for Cena personally and gave fans an update on what the 16-time champ is up to these days.
John Cenas legendary WWE career is officially coming to a close, and WWE has confirmed exactly when and where the final chapter will take place. During the September 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Cenas retirement match will headline Saturday Nights Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C.
The 17-time world champion is currently on his farewell tour, which kicked off earlier this year and has already seen him capture his record-breaking final title and even turn heel for the first time in years. His journey will now finish in the nations capital, giving fans one last chance to see him in action before he says goodbye to in-ring competition.
Before his final night, Cena will appear at several major shows as part of the farewell run:
- October 11: WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia vs. AJ Styles
- November 10: WWE Raw in Boston, MA
- November 17: WWE Raw in New York, NY
- November 29: WWE Survivor Series in San Diego, CA
- December 13: Retirement Match in Washington, D.C.
