Tony DAngelo hasnt been seen on WWE NXT TV since July, and fans are starting to wonder if The Don of NXT is gearing up for something bigor if somethings going on behind the scenes.
During the September 29 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, a listener brought up the mysterious absence, but there wasnt much concrete news to offer. When asked if there was any update on Tony D, Bryan Alvarez admitted he was just as in the dark as everyone else.
Dave Meltzer had nothing to add and simply agreed with Alvarezs brief comment.
Thats itno new information, no reports of injury, and no word from WWE about whats next for the former NXT Tag Team Champion. Its a strange silence considering Tony D had been featured heavily in NXTs ongoing storylines before disappearing without explanation.
At this point, speculation ranges from a possible main roster call-up to creative being completely stalled. But with zero updates from official sources, fans are left guessing.
