AEW saw a big return at All Out.

AEW All Out 2025 took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and one of the events standout matches was a Coffin Match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin. This match had a big chance for violence, and it was pretty much expected to be a bloody brawl.

The match saw Jon Moxley and Darby Allin battle with the goal of forcing the other into the coffin and closing the lid. Each man walked into the match with a violent reputation, and risks are second nature to them at this point.

This match got started early, and it was a tough brawl through the crowd. Darby and Moxley fought around the arena, giving fans a close view of the action.

Eventually, Moxley was covered in blood, but it wasnt his own. He propped up a board and Marina Shafir started to undo the bottom turnbuckle to loosen the ropes. Darby took a brutal bump on the coffin, and then Claudio and Wheeler Yuta showed up to join the fun.

This match continued as the Death Riders picked Darby Allin apart. They put the coffin in the ring as Mox sent Marina, Claudio and Yuta to the back. Mox slapped the coffin lid on Darbys hand and then he mounted Allin to punch on his face. Eventually, Darby got revenge as he stabbed Mox in the ear and forehead multiple times with a screwdriver, busting him open big time. Then, Darby nailed a coffin drop on the former Dean Ambrose.

Darby and Mox fought on as they tried their best to make the other bleed as much as possible. Moxleys ear was mutilated by Darby as he stabbed him again after blocking a shot to the chest from the Paradigm Shift.

Moxley nailed a Death Rider on the coffin after that, which smashed it. Eventually, Darby got the advantage and he retrieved a plastic bag from ringside, so he proceeded to suffocate Moxley and stomp on his face over and over again as fans chanted YES! Bryan Danielson loved seeing this on commentary.

Then Darby Allin opened the coffin and went to put Moxley in. However, at the last minute, before Darby could close the lid, Pac showed up and heaved Allin over the top rope, sending him crashing into another coffin. Then he put Allin in a bodybag and placed him in the coffin before closing the lid.

Darby Allin is no stranger to coffin matches. He first competed in the stipulation against Ethan Page at Wrestling for the Ages in 2020, where he scored the victory and began his Coffin Match record at 1-0. Five years later, at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, Allin faced Jack Perry in another Coffin Match. That loss cost Allin the TNT Title against the Scapegoat. Now, Allin has another loss on his coffin match record.
