Imagine sitting in your armchair watching the 2025 Ryder Cup in New York and, immediately after every shot, knowing in real time the odds of Team Europe or Scottie Scheffler winning the hole or the match. This isn't science fiction: it's the new frontier of golf, made possible by Capgemini's Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Thanks to the French multinational, fans and spectators will be able to enjoy an immersive experience with data, "what if" scenarios, and instant analysis provided by Outcome IQ, the AI platform debuting at Bethpage Black.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) is the branch of AI that generates new contenttext, images, designs, videos, or audiobased on previous analyses. In practice, it doesn't just classify or recognize, it creates.
Ryder Cup, news
Thus, what might have seemed futuristic just four Ryder Cups ago is now reality. Capgemini has worked on and perfected Outcome IQ, its advanced Gen AI platform.

Outcome IQ is a system designed to interpret game data in real time, combining it with individual players' historical performances and other factors. Factors include everything from the characteristics of each hole at Bethpage Black to those of the competing pairs, including weather conditions.
The system generates probabilities and insights the moment the ball lands, analyzing every shot and every match in real time. This will allow us, at home, to better understand what's happening on the course, the captains' strategies, and the players' performances under pressure. Analysts will be able to select and disseminate the most relevant information, personalized for their audience, via push notifications, widgets, and comments.
Capgemini's database contains not only fifty years of Ryder Cup numbers, but also archives the last 50 matches for each of the 24 players in the field. Knowing the past allows us to predict the present.

Outcome IQ debuted at Rome 2023, where over 4,000 shots were monitored in real time at the Marco Simone. In the US, Outcome IQ will be able to process up to 360 pieces of information simultaneously to provide near-instantaneous analysis to support commentators.
Capgemini will introduce two main innovations at Bethpage Black:
Real-time insights powered by Gen AI available across all digital channels
"What If" scenarios that simulate possible outcomes based on current playing conditions.
The service will be available on all official Ryder Cup platforms. Fans will be able to follow the insights via the Ryder Cup app, social media, live television broadcasts, and on-site giant screens.
"170 million possible combinations"
"Building a match play draw means managing over 170 million possible combinationsessentially a universe of probabilities." Francesco Fantazzini, Chief Technology Innovation Officer at Capgemini in Italy, spoke directly and simply.
