Nick Kyrgios had a three-word but powerful reaction to Iva Jovic's Guadalajara win as the 2022 Wimbledon finalist believes "the sky is the limit" for the 17-year-old talent.

After surviving four three-set matches to reach her first WTA final at the 500-category tournament in Guadalajara, Jovic impressed in her title match debut and ousted Emiliana Arango 6-4 6-1. By collecting the Guadalajara title, the promising American became the youngest WTA champion from her country since Coco Gauff in 2021. Also, she is now the youngest player to have won a title in 2025.

When Guadalajara started, Jovic was sitting at No. 73 in the world. Now, the American is a top-50 player for the first time in her career and enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 36 in the world.

When the year started, Jovic was ranked just outside the top-200 in the world. Since then, she has added a Futures, a WTA 125 (Challenger), and a WTA title to her collection.

Kyrgios to Jovic: Sky is the limit

Kyrgios posted about the 17-year-old's Guadalajara triumph on his Instagram Story and wrote: "Sky the limit."

While Jovic had all the reasons to celebrate after becoming a WTA champion before turning 18, she still did her best to keep it as respectful as possible toward Arango, who was ill during the final but didn't want to quit.

"You showed so much fight and gave the people a show. It's not easy to start out on tour when you're young ... but people like Emiliana make it easier and always have a smile on their face," the American told Arango.

With her new ranking of No. 36 in the world, the 17-year-old American won't have any issues entering any tournament.
