WrestleMania 43s card is up in the air.

WWE announced during a breaking news livestream hosted by Joe Tessitore that WrestleMania 43 will take place in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Vince McMahon even got love during the conference. WrestleMania in two years will be part of Saudi Arabias Riyadh Season initiative, and there could be some major matchups on the card. No exact date has been revealed for the event.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that a higher-up within WWE told them any talk about potential performers for the event is purely hypothetical. The source reportedly referenced a report suggesting The Rock could receive the highest payday in wrestling history for an appearance.

It was clarified that no discussions have taken place. It was also reported that Stone Cold Steve Austin has not been approached for a match yet.

This directly contradicts a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter from Dave Meltzer, who claimed that sources within the Saudi General Entertainment Authority told him negotiations with Dwayne Johnson were advancing and close to being finalized.

Dave Meltzer also reported that the price tag for the weekend events surrounding WrestleMania 43 would exceed $100 million, and locking down The Rock for the main event would be a big factor in the final price tag for the show of shows in 2027.

WWE may bring in some huge names for the WrestleMania 43 show, but only time will tell who they get on the card. After all, some names will be very pricey, but the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also paying a ton for the grandest stage of them all in their country.
