HOOK is officially back and he didnt waste any time making a statement.

During the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, Wheeler Yuta was in the middle of cutting a promo when the lights cut out in the 2300 Arena. Seconds later, the unmistakable HOOK spotlight lit up the wall, and fans instantly knew what was coming.

The crowd erupted as HOOK made his way through the darkness, hopped over the top rope, and immediately locked Wheeler Yuta in a sleeper hold. Yuta had no chance HOOK dropped him and sent him flying out of the ring to a thunderous ovation.

This wasnt just a one-off pop. As previously reported, HOOK has re-signed with AEW and is locked into a long-term deal. The company clearly has big plans for the former FTW Champion, and his first move back shows hes picking up right where he left off aggressive, cold, and calculated.

HOOK had been sidelined since Double or Nothing, where he appeared in the brutal Anarchy in the Arena match alongside Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata. He later revealed hed been recovering from a concussion but always expected to return soon.

Now that hes back and back for the long haul the only question is whos next.

Did HOOK make the right call staying with AEW, or would a jump to WWE NXT have made more sense? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
