HOOKs return to AEW Dynamite on August 27 wasnt just about choking out Wheeler Yuta it marked the end of an era, and the start of a new one.

According to Fightful Select, HOOK debuted a brand new entrance theme during his return to the 2300 Arena, walking out to Jay-Jay Johansons 1996 track So Tell The Girls That I Am Back In Town. The eerie, moody song was a stark departure from his longtime theme by Action Bronson and for good reason.

The decision to move on reportedly stemmed from tension last year when Bronson took public shots at the AEW environment something that didnt sit well with several people in the company. Though sources say things were eventually smoothed over, the choice to find a new entrance song had already been made.

There were signs earlier this year that a change was coming. HOOK made a few appearances in January without his signature entrance music, often showing up during run-ins or alongside other wrestlers. Fightful now confirms this was because AEW had lost the rights to the Bronson theme and was working behind the scenes on his next chapter.

Now that HOOK is officially back and rocking a new sound, its clear AEW is pushing a fresh direction for the former FTW Champion and judging by the fan reaction, theyre fully on board.
