The conflict between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf has been going on for a long time, and it is very difficult to make clear predictions about the future. There is no new information, there is less and less optimism, and such a situation makes us wonder: Will LIV and the PGA Tour ever become one?
Major figures on the PGA Tour, including Scheffler, have blamed LIV Golf for the division, but some golfers believe that things are not as they seem.
Hudson Swafford, who moved to LIV in 2022 and is currently suspended from the PGA Tour, shared his view.
Swafford emphasizes that LIV golfers are open to playing on the PGA and in popular tournaments, but he acknowledges that this is difficult to achieve at the moment.
I think the sponsors should be able to do whatever they want. How much money are they paying now? They are paying a ton.

I think they should be able to do what they want, and one thing that I do disagree with Scottie Scheffler on, I have seen in a couple of PGA Tour press conferences, he said the media should go over to LIV and ask those players why the Tour is divided.
I will be honest with you, the whole consensus of LIV players is that they would play the PGA Tour events. Whether or not they get into 15 events, I dont know, but they would love to go and play a number of events on the Tour.
I would love to go and play [The American Express], I would love to go and play a place I have won twice. There are a number of events I would still try and play if I were allowed."- he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

Manipulation and expectations
Swafford believes that PGA executives have manipulated the public and created a false image of the LIV guys, admitting that most want to be a part of the PGA Tour, having no aversion to this story.
There has been speculation for a long time about the main barriers in the negotiations between the PGA and LIV, but few know what the essence of the problem in this story is.
While some important figures like Donald Trump have tried to reduce tensions and facilitate negotiations, it seems that reaching an agreement will be extremely difficult.
