Scottie Scheffler is currently the main face of the golf scene, and his every appearance raises interesting questions. Before the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs, Scheffler received interesting questions from reporters.
After the dizzying success and dominance of this season, some wonder if the 29-year-old can break the records of Tiger Woods and other icons of this sport.
Scheffler is still relatively young.
At the age of 29, he has room to progress further and to record even more significant successes, but some wonder what the American's childhood and his first beginnings on the golf scene looked like.
When asked by a reporter if he remembers his first victory as a kid, Scheffler had an interesting answer:
"No, I barely remember what I did yesterday versus 20 years ago or whatever it is now.
I have some memories of growing up playing junior golf. I don't remember my first win. Most of my memories from junior golf are just competing with my buddies."- he said.
Memories
The popular golfer has a lot of memories from his childhood, but they are least related to his results and success in the world of golf. Scheffler mostly remembers sneaking out late at night, stealing the carts and other things that marked his childhood.
Scottie has many great memories of that period, and it seems that at that time no one was overly concerned about whether he would become a professional and build a career on the PGA Tour.
Golf was enjoyment, pure emotion and passion.
"Some of my friends to this day are guys I grew up with at Royal Oaks playing golf and sneaking out late at night, stealing the carts so we could ride around on the carts when we were underage and stuff like that. That's the stuff I remember more than the tournaments, and lots of fond memories of that stuff growing up."- he said.
